In Las Vegas, NV, February 4-6, 2014, The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, aka, KBIS (owned by the National Kitchen & Bath Association-NKBA), welcomed 31,092 attendees.
Amazing! That is nearly 145 percent increase year over year. Perhaps, John Petrie, NKBA 2014 president knew it would be well attended. “We knew coming into Las Vegas that we were about to experience something ground breaking…’. And also perhaps, KBIS, collocated for the first time with the International Builders’ Show (IBS), owned by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and VISION 2014, the International Window Coverings Expo (IWCE) had something to do with the increase in attendance?
KBIS 2014 also attracted 500 exhibitors, including 135 new exhibitors. Emerald Expositions, producers of KBIS, has already booked more exhibit space for KBIS 2015 than was sold in all of 2014! So, if I were an industry partner, I would probably start planning my space for next year. There were many top brands and many random ones, too. All offered interesting products and some launched their new product lines.
As an attendee, I definitely will plan to stay the whole week, for 2015. This year, I only stayed for half of the time. There were so much to see and learn and I felt that I missed so much. So many brands to see and all were vying for my time. How wonderful is that?! So many brands were eager to share their new products and I was more than happy to take it all in.
As a designer, I was inspired, excited, and can’t wait to present much of what I have seen the first of February, 2014. There were so much excitement and buzz.
I’m ready for KBIS 2015. I’m ready for Las Vegas, Nevada, January 20-22, 2015.
