What a great way to start the Design and Construction Week (DCW2015)! Actually, the week of DCW2015, #BlogTourVegas members focused on a few exhibitors during the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, aka KBIS2015. A few were represented at the exclusive Residences Mandarin Oriental High luxury apartments in Las Vegas ( http://bit.ly/18XuXhg ).
As we were entertained by images from the Arts of
to the Performances from members of Cirque du Soleil
Neil Bailey, President of Poggenpohl U.S. talks about how Poggenpohl kitchen truly embodies the essence of the Arts and Performance of Poggenpohl. To make their products seem effortless in its crafts. But as you know, behind the beauty, there were countless of countless of hours and dedication to perfect their craft.
Being part of #BlogTourVegas, we as a group were lucky enough to see some kitchen and bath product launches before the door opened at KBIS in Las Vegas. And thanks a few of our sponsors (Blanco Americas and Poggenpohl), we were able to see these products in their true applications.

But let’s talk about sinks, baby…let’s talk about sinks.
During the Poggenpohl party, I snuck in the kitchen as servers left to tend to their guests. And look what I found!! YUM!
And I got even closer…probably was not allowed to go deep in the kitchen. But I had to look closer as the Blanco’s Culina faucet really caught my eye.
From afar, it looked pretty clean as the servers I’m sure did not have time to even bother with clean up. Shhhh…don’t tell the host! But we’re going to get even closer!
Look at how much dirty dishes that piled up in the sink! You sure couldn’t tell from the dining room. That’s what the Blanco Precision 16″ R0 1-1/2 Bowl gives you…time. Time to clean up the dirty mess when you want to and still can hide the mess as they pile up!
Did you know that award-winning German engineered BLANCO luxury sinks are the first stainless steel sink to achieve a 10mm radius –STEELART® – the first to market colored hard composite sinks – and BLANCO’s pioneering MicroEdge™ technology with its virtual flushmount edge? OK. Here’s another factoid…
-BLANCO has a long tradition of environmental stewardship and their production facilities operate to strict DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental performance standards.
and another…
Like the Attika, precision craftsmanship and artistic creativity of its STEELART brand to the stunning durability of its ground breaking SILGRANIT® collection, BLANCO has proven that the sink is far more than a mere functional element in the kitchen.
Speaking of German Engineering
…and then there’s Poggenpohl Cabinetry.
Is that pretty or what? Did you know that Poggenpohl is the oldest cabinetry manufacturer in existence today. They have been developing its ‘kitchen architecture’ for 123 years!
Today, you can find their cabinetry in more than 70 countries.

You’ve seen one countertop, you’ve seen them all, right?
WRONG!
Take a look at Prexury® by Cosentino. We had a lot of fun watching this semiprecious stone as it was designed so that as it’s backlit, it changes the slab’s color! By the way, did you know that each Prexury slab has an ‘ASP’ (Authentic Semi-Precious Stone) certificate of authenticity? Do you know what that means? Basically, if you have any issues with the slab or need more of it, this certification ensures the product’s traceability!
Need I say more?
Well, maybe. Cosentino is a global, well-known Spanish company who produces and distributes Silestone®, quartz surfaces. They boast that Silestone was the first quartz surface to be introduced for kitchen countertops, sinks, bathroom and more.
During KBIS2015, Cosentino showed another of their products called Dekton. Dekton is Large format surface with maximum strength for worktops, façades, high transit floors, both for indoor and outdoor use.
Below is a Cosentino installation in one of the luxury condo in the Mandarin Oriental.

and the fireplace surround…
Hope you enjoyed your visit here with me as much as I enjoyed the Mandarin Oriental dinner party in Las Vegas before the #KBIS2015 show. Thank you for stopping by! And a special THANK YOU again to our sponsors, Blanco Americas and Poggenpohl..
